With a persona born out of years playing Australia’s Pub & Club circuit mixed with a healthy sense of humour, these days ‘Old Mate’ is happy to remain mostly anonymous
Old Mate has been around for years, played in some good bands, worked with some big names in the industry and played some big venues. Old Mate has also released original music, won awards and even toured Japan playing Bass with a 23-piece Orchestra!
But Old Mate doesn’t like to big note himself…
he’d rather just turn up and do what he loves doing
He plays an eclectic mix of well-known boogie, rock and pop songs, interpreted on a 3-string Cigar Box Guitar as only Old Mate could. Some original songs add an extra layer of depth to the show. Backing beats, bass lines, stomp pedals and a splash of harmonica make for an entertaining ride!
